"Till We Have Faces" is my "hands down" favorite of Clive Staples.

And Chesterton's "The Ball and the Cross" is my favorite of his. It's a Twainian style humor with some no holds barred theology battles.

Agreed. Till We Have Faces is the easy #1…but where from there?

If I had to give a "beginner" one book by CSL, I'd probably pick The Great Divorce. Its scenes magnificently display CSL's vivid imagination. And, of all his works, it introduces the greatest breadth of his characteristic themes.
