Hi Justin. Thank you for the interview and videos. I was wondering if either you or Randy have read Jim Andrews' Polishing God's Monuments: Pillars of Hope for Punishing Times. I think it came out in '07, when he would have been in the middle of research for his new book, and it was interesting to me that he didn't mention it. I found it very moving, very helpful, and very much in line with many of the authors he did mention. Are you familiar with it?

I have a laptop computer because of a bad back which makes it easier than sitting at a desk reading long article on a monitor. Suffering is a subject of interest of mine (unfortunately) so I'm glad to read all I can find.

No need to redeem yourself, just being in the Army is enough. You can still blow something up for me though.

I noticed the next article in this blog is in two parts.
Jeff

Well Jeff, if you are ok reading a blog post of 5,383 words or 14 pages then you are the better man and if that makes me a sissy then so be it. I guess I will have to settle and read the book. Maybe I will go shoot something or blow something to redeem myself in your sight.
James
U.S. Army

no reason to read the book, just read the post and watch the videos... I will have to opt for the book though because I am not reading a blog post this long (maybe we should have chapter breaks)

I'm surprised he didn't mention the book by Christopher Wright: The god i don't understand. I thought Wright did a very good job concerning the problem of evil and suffering.
