I definately need a fashion consultation. They are hip.
So that's what Jon Bloom looks like! Is there a video out there on the story of Crossway Books?
Matthew: Not that I know of. There is, however, a book from a number of years ago:

So Piper planned to spread a passion for the supremacy of God for the joy of ALL peoples with two or three people? Good thing God's vision and passion for His glory is greater than Piper's!
Jon Bloom was very much instrumental in building DG into what it is. However, the concept for DG came before the '90s from John Piper himself. John asked the Council of Deacons (we did not yet have elders) for a writing leave in 1985. He also asked permission to create an organization funded by the royalties of his book devoted to disseminating his resources. The fact that he asked permission for this use of his own royalties showed how important it was to create a church-based ministry, just as Jon Bloom says. I am very grateful that the Lord used Jon Bloom to give life to John's early vision.
