		<description>If there is one thing I &lt;i&gt;really&lt;/i&gt; appreciate about C.J. Mahaney is how he opens up his preaching by slowly, deliberately and with reverence reading the text of Scripture &lt;i&gt;before&lt;/i&gt; launching into his preaching. Mahaney gives you the gravity of the Bible and the distinct impression that it is, in fact, &lt;b&gt;God&lt;/b&gt; who is speaking you the person in the pew. It&#039;s this model that I would like to see implemented in most pulpits. Love it, love it, love it! 

It&#039;s what J.I. Packer once said: &lt;i&gt;&quot;Letting the text talk.&quot;&lt;/i&gt;
