Mahaney is how he opens up his preaching by slowly, deliberately and with reverence reading the text of Scripture <i>before</i> launching into his preaching. Mahaney gives you the gravity of the Bible and the distinct impression that it is, in fact, <b>God</b> who is speaking you the person in the pew. It's this model that I would like to see implemented in most pulpits. Love it, love it, love it! It's what J.I. Packer once said: <i>"Letting the text talk."</i> Thanks again Justin for providing some solid, extremely edifying links. If there is one thing I really appreciate about C.J.
