  1. From “The Teenie, Weenie…True King”: God says, “I need a king who loves me and will teach my people to love me.”

From Acts 17:25, Paul says, “Nor is [God] worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything…”

    I hope God was listening.

  2. Brendt, brother, there’s only One who wrote the perfect Bible.

It’s one of the only kids’ Bibles I know that gets Jesus’ admonition to the Pharisees (those folks that were famous for nitpicking) right, and teaches children to see how the entire Bible points to Him.

My youngest daughter attends a Missouri Synod Lutheran preschool, which has just given this Bible to every child, and is sending home weekly readings and questions from it for parents (most of whom are unsaved) to review with their kids. It’s also the Bible that we give when random neighbors who aren’t saved have asked us about what a good book is to introduce their kids to those Bible stories they heard about in Sunday School and want to tell to their kids at bedtime.

  3. This is hands-down my favorite children’s Bible. It is beautiful. Sally Lloyd-Jones is a member of Tim Keller’s congregation, and both Tim & Kathy Keller reviewed early copies of the manuscript. This Bible storybook manages to avoid the legalism that seems to pervade a lot of children’s materials and instead focuses on Christ and how truly “every story whispers His name.” Having David Suchet narrate the audio version of this deluxe edition is icing on an already delicious cake.
