The Question Every Father Has to Answer from His Daughter
From our six-year-old on the way to school, in response to the lyrics of “Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus”:
“Daddy, what is merit?”
(The distinction between condign and congruent merit is not clear to her yet, though.)
