58 years ago today (Jan. 8, 1956) Jim Elliot, Pete Fleming, Ed McCully, Nate Saint, and Roger Youderian were martyred in Ecuador, killed by the Wuaorani Indians (then known as the Auca Indians). Many of the Wuaorani later came to know the Lord

Jim Elliot’s best-known quote is, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.”
