99 Balloons

Tomorrow, as many of you know, is the 37th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. I’ll be posting an interview about how the decision can be overturned.

But let me commend for you a video that’s not about abortion per se, but rather about the dignity and value of human life. I’ve posted it before, but I’m doing so again, as it’s one of the most life-affirming, heart-rending videos I’ve ever seen.

I thank God for these parents who valued life and loved their son, and I think God for the short life of little Eliot Mooney, whom God is using to proclaim his glory.

I encourage you to watch the video and to pass it along.

  1. I love this video. FYI, this video was produced by the guys who play the characters Johnny and Chachi.

  2. Hello,

My name is James (jim) Hale. I have been writing a theology column for 3 years now that runs in a few newspapers. One thing that has always got to me is how some political leaders use this line..”I’m personally disagree with abortions and would never have one, however they don’t want to oppose others that may not see it their way.” Do they not understand that there is only one reason for anyone to view abortion as a sin or wrong? That reason is you see it as taking a life. There are no other reasons.

Anyway..I wrote something along that line. If you have time, check it out…

  3. Thank you for sharing Eliot’s story with your readers. We came to know about his story a little over a year ago because we too were facing the fact that our little Michael Z showed all the signs of Trisomy 18. By God’s mercy and grace we were able to spend 18 precious days with our little man. Eighteen days we would not have had if we had listened to the opinions and advice of many of the doctors we spoke with. With us, abortion was never an options and as King David said, I will go to him.

I watched this video over a year ago. It still moves me to tears.

wow! what an amazing testament to God’s faithfulness, goodness, and grace in and through the life of little eliott. i had tears streaming down my face as i watched the pictures go by of the precious little boy. it struck close to home as my sister is currently 6 months pregnant with little josiah who is not expected to live but a few hours after birth. the doctors have told her that they believe he has fetal akinesia, which will paralyze his ability to breathe once out of utero. we are praying for healing for him and the Lord’s will to be done. thank you for posting this incredible video…truly was an encouragement. blessings!

  10. You are my hero. This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. God bless you and your family. Elliot was truly blessed to have you as his parents.
