Thank you for a wonderful post. I found silence several years ago and now cannot understand how I lived without it. My meditations and prayer (and my children) led me back to Christ, not that I actually left, only that I was stalled on my path.

I was planning to fast from technology today, but obviously I haven't been so successful. We claim to avoid the eternal because we're so busy, when Pascal is right: we actually are busy because we want to avoid the eternal. Don't waste your life!

I could not agree more with the statement ‘…sole reason for man’s unhappiness is that he does not know how to stay quietly in his room’. There is so much here to think about and meditate on.
