How to Write a Non-Fiction Book Proposal
I probably recommend this book at least once a week to prospective authors who want counsel on writing a book proposal (which is the first step toward successfully publishing a book with a publisher): Thinking Like Your Editor: How to Write Great Serious Nonfiction—and Get it Published, by Susan Rabiner and Alfred Fortunato.
