I realize I am a little behind here, but what other books would you recommend on economics that you are reading now or come to your mind? I just read Richards book and loved it.

It's obvious to me that Ayn Rand's "The Virtue of Selfishness" was an attention-grabbing title that should have been "The Virtue of Enlightened Self-Interest." Evidence that she didn't favor greed or selfishness comes from her intense admiration for Victor Hugo, whose book "Les Miserables" is full of self-sacrifice. What she was against was having others dictate your actions, especially the government, because it could back up its mandates with force.

Richards indicated that original sin offset utopian tendencies. I would like to see how original sin is considered in his view of capitalism. I guess I need to get the book.

Great interview. I just bought this book and will be reading it soon. I highly, highly recommend Sowell's "Basic Economics," too. I've digested that one carefully, and it is wonderful.
