Staff Opening at University Reformed Church (and it’s not because I got fired!)
University Reformed Church in East Lansing, Michigan, the church I pastor, is currently seeking a full time female Associate Campus Ministry Director. If you or someone you know would like more information about the position, go here.
Update: A good question was raised about the legality of seeking a female staff member. The reason we are looking for a woman is because the chief responsibility of this position is to work with college age women. After consulting with an attorney at our church who did some digging in the relevant case law, it seems that churches are exempt from some of the normal hiring policies that would prohibit this sort of thing. As long as a church is truly a religious organization and the employment they are filling is truly spiritual in nature (not a janitor or something) they can make these specific requirements.
