Along with things like necklaces and figurines, he had a wallet with the American flag on one side and the face of Osama bin Laden on the other. The rationale seems to be "people from the United States spend a lot of time on this stuff." (On the other side of things, my father told me the characters on the necklace he bought me in China probably really say "I'm a baboon," and it's just something they sell tourists because tourists will buy anything.) Crypto-Calvinism? I've seen a lot of these things from Asia, where the manufacturers, who can't read a word of English (or very few), put together some really hilarious words and phrases.
