And after doing some flying lately, I was reminded of this.

This Onion news story may just be my favorite. It’s not terribly recent, but very funny because, alas, it is too true.

This is very funny, and true.

This is very, very funny, and also true (HT: Joshua Harris).

And this is a classic Mr. Bean clip.

"But Where’s the Tiger?"
"But Where’s the Tiger?" avatar

Some of you may remember that I posted a Calvin and Hobbes video a couple weeks ago. One night while working on my blog, my two sons came up and noticed the video on my computer and asked to watch it. So we did.

Fast forward to last weekend. We hosted a Calvin conference at our church. One of the books on the book table was a children’s book about the life of John Calvin. I hadn’t seen the book before so I gladly purchased it and brought it home.

On Sunday night I sat down with my two boys and told them we had a new book to read. When I told them what the book was about, my three year old, Jacob, said with great delight “I want to see John Calvin! I want to see John Calvin!” Puzzled but quite proud, I sat them down and started reading. After reading a few scintillating pages about Noyon, the Mass, and the affair of the placards, Jacob looked at me with a puzzled look and asked with a tinge of sadness, “But where’s the tiger?”

So in honor of my disappointed son, here’s another Calvin and Hobbes clip. Unfortunately, there’s no tiger here either, but my boys should be able to relate to it nonetheless.
