How much difference would it make?
“‘Edith, I wonder what would happen to most churches and Christian work if we awakened tomorrow, and everything concerning the reality and work of the Holy Spirit, and everything concerning prayer, were removed from the Bible. I don’t mean just ignored, but actually cut out – disappeared. Very convicting thought. Too often congregations are run like a corporation. I’d add, as tax-exempt organizations, they are not run well in comparison. Imagine a CEO who had no corporate tax to deal with. What an advantage! We have the Holy Spirit and we don’t even consult Him in board meetings, commettee meetings, decisions or activities.
