Problem or strategy?

Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”  Then I said, “Ah, Lord God!  Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.”  But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’; for to all to whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak.”  Jeremiah 1:5-7

My brother pastor, the God-created you that you are is not fundamentally a problem; the God-created you that you are is fundamentally a strategy.  Do not try to escape who you are; see who you are in a new way, according to the call of God.  Do you feel up to the task?  No.  Neither did Jeremiah.  But it’s the gracious call of God that defines you and qualifies you.

We have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel (1 Thessalonians 2:4).  We don’t preach to earn his approval; we preach with his approval.

Tomorrow is going to be a good day.
