One of the goals of this blog is to simply make you aware of "happenings in evangelicalism." No commentary or opinion, just pointing to an event or news story because it is of interest to the church. With that said, Dan Gilgoff of U.S. News & World Report's God & Country blog points to one ministry's efforts to counter the world-wide celebration planned for the 150 year anniversary of Charles Darwin's Origin of Species (November 24, 2009). Gilgoff reports,

In time for the 150th anniversary of Charles Darwin's Origin of Species, a major Christian ministry is publishing an edition of the book that features an introduction rebutting the theory of evolution and making the case for intelligent design. The ministry, Ray Comfort's Living Waters, is distributing tens of thousands of free copies on college campuses nationwide.

The video below features Kirk Cameron (of Growing Pains fame) promoting the project. I wonder what Richard Dawkins thinks about this...
