Over at the Ligonier blog Keith Mathison provides a helpful service by listing thirteen excellent books on the doctrine of God. He divides his list into three categories: theology proper, the Trinity, and historical theology.

Mathison's list reminded me of one of the clearest passages of Scripture describing the greatness of God: Isaiah 40:9-31.
