One of the best things about being at The Gospel Coalition national conference last April was listening in on discussions between pastors from different denominations and traditions on how to do church. For those of you who weren’t able to attend, be encouraged! We’ve recorded these discussions just for you.

One of these discussions was between Mark Dever, Tim Keller, and Crawford Loritts on “What Should A Local Church Look Like.” This discussion not only was interesting because of the Presbyterian, Baptist, and Bible Church dynamic, but also for the little rabbit trails they occasionally traveled down.

One interesting rabbit trail was their discussion on multi-site churches started by Mark Dever’s question to Tim Keller: “In the year 2080, do you think we’ll have many living pastors?” After some short confusion as to what Dever meant, he explained that with the rise of mult-site churches and the use of video-streaming, he wondered whether at some point churches will stop feeling the need for a “living guy” and just watch thirty years of Tim Keller videos. The discussion took some interesting turns and I think each contributor offered some wise counsel on the issue.

You can listen to this panel discussion, along with more than 50 other plenary talks, workshops, and panel discussions from the 2011 National Conference.
