David Platt on the Epitome of Hate

More Videos

Given the beauty of Christ and the reality of hell, it is “the epitome of hate” to withhold the gospel from those who don’t know it, David Platt argues. As Christians, we want “God’s grace to extend to more and more people for God’s glory among all peoples.”

Earlier this year Platt sat down with Mark Mellinger to discuss how all Christians practically fulfill the Great Commission according to our diverse callings. Following his powerful TGC13 Missions Conference message, “Why the Great Commission Is Great: Reaching More and More People,” Platt discussed how global missions “infiltrates everything” at the Church at Brook Hills. Missions isn’t relegated to a committee and a weekend. Members are regularly encouraged to ask three questions: How can I pray? How can I give? How can I go?

Watch the full 12-minute video to hear Platt discuss self-investigation, seating vs. sending capacity, the time a missions board president talked him out of going overseas, and more.
