Practical Shepherding
My dear friend and brother in Christ, Brian Croft, has started a new blog called Practical Shepherding. I can’t think of anybody better suited to blog under that title than Brian. He is a faithful shepherd, attentive to the needs of God’s people at Auburndale Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. He’s also the author of a couple books: Visiting the Sick and the soon-to-be-released Test, Train, Affirm, and Send into Ministry: Recovering the Local Church’s Responsibility to the External Call (foreword by Albert Mohler).
You can see from the titles of the brother’s books that he is keenly focused on the doing of ministry. And should you read the books, you’ll find that he

grounds the practice of ministry in solid biblical theological soil. I heartily commend them both. I wrote a brief review of Visiting the Sick here.
Brian’s new blog focuses on some of the difficult practical questions pastors face. It should prove a very useful resource. Check him out.
