I’m guessing some of you have already seen these video stings of Planned Parenthood Clinics (HT: Z). A man posing as a pimp along with a female associate approach different Planned Parenthood clinics seeking abortion, STD, and contraceptive advice from clinic workers. They do not hide the fact that they are “managing sex workers” and that some of their girls are as young as 14 or 15. The videos reveal Planned Parenthood workers bending federal guidelines, offering advice on how to care for girls brought to the country illegally, and how to get abortions for underage girls without parental consent or notice.
“Wicked” appropriately describes the interactions in these videos. I don’t mean that judgmentally, but factually. This is wickedness, the wickedness that lies beneath the wickedness of killing the unborn. The performance of an abortion, and the loud assertions of “abortion rights,” are the late-blooming flowers of a more poisonous root. All of human evil and sin comes from a twisted and depraved heart. That’s not a pretty thing to say. And these videos reveal that the reality of human wickedness is not a pretty thing to witness either.
Here’s what’s certain: Abortion cannot be left unattended, nor our daughters left to an abortion culture and its workers, nor our prayers left unspoken on behalf of the aborted children, nor mothers left confused about life in their womb, nor clinic workers left to counsel counsel the vulnerable, nor doctors left to terminate what God creates. This is the kind of evil that may only be conquered by the sacrifice of God’s own Son, whose perfect blood atones for all the blood spilled in abortion and the hands that spill it, and by the Spirit-wrought efforts of God’s people to end this wickedness as the “public” law of the land.
