A couple years ago the Lord prompted us to make an important decision at First Baptist Church of Grand Cayman. We decided to reposition our extraordinarily gifted administrative assistant, Meg Bodden, to serve as our first women’s ministry director. Over the years Meg had proven herself to not only be a gifted assistant but also a very fruitful discipler of women. Very early on she bought into a 9Marks vision of local church ministry and eagerly embraced a complementarian view of gender roles in the church and home. She consistently demonstrated hearty support for the elders and shared our desire to see the women of the church discipled in a manner consistent with the overall ministry philosophy and direction.

So, with great hope, she moved over to assume the role of women’s ministry director. About that time she also began to widely introduce to our sisters the resources of Revive Our Hearts. A year ago all the women of the church participated in a 13-week study of True Woman 101. The fruit has been tremendous. And along the way, Meg has done a faithful job of using other resources from Revive Our Hearts.

When I think about the number of things for which I am thankful at First Baptist Church of Grand Cayman, our women, Meg Bodden and Revive Our Hearts are near the top of the list. In the video below, please get to know Meg just a little bit, support Revive Our Hearts, and join me in giving thanks to our gracious God for these women and their ministries.
