This is great. I'm very pumped about hearing this album with Webb back in the group. My favorite Caedmon's album is 40Acres, so I hope he's right when he says it is in that vein...Good interview, a stellar read...

I am really glad that Derek is a part of this album again. Personally, he has always been my favorite part of Caedmon's.

glad you were able to talk with todd and garrett.
2 things,
#1)
i have heard a bit of this album and it is heavily influenced by andrew osenga, who joined the band upon derek's recommendation in 2003. andrew is a stellar singer/songwriter [www.andrewosenga.com and .net as well] and brings a sound to caedmons that is different than any of their previous recordings.
but having andy and derek both on this album brings a sense of "deja-vu" in a positive sense.. its a familar sound, but not so familiar that you can tag it with any previous work.
#2
there are two albums before the self titled release...
"my calm//your storm" and an e.p. "just dont want coffee"
mc//ys is a must have, while j.d.w.c. is a great collector's item due to the differen renditions of songs that would become well known hits years later.
