Thank you so much for sharing these words from Mr. Reidhead! Even as one who believes that all actions are, ultimately, to be done to God's glory, after reading this excerpt, I am struck by how small and unworthy my view of evangelism has been! We serve a great and glorious God, and indeed, evangelism is ultimately about HIS glory, above all other concerns! Not that we shouldn't be deeply concerned about the eternal fate of the lost (and therefore, moved to action for their sake)... but it is truly love for GOD that should be the driving force in evangelism. Otherwise, we may be tempted to charge God with injusice if He does not save a particlar non-Christian from Hell. God is NEVER unjust though. We all deserve Hell for our rebellion against Him. The fact that He chooses to save at all is amazing! "Amazing love, how can it be, that Thou, my God, wouldst die for me?" Thank you for posting these words which have powerfully reminded me that it is the glory of the one, true, amazing God that should motivate my evangelism to non-Christians!!! Wow!
