All this "kingdom" talk is hardly the exclusive domain of the emerging church. We talk about it all the time in charismatic/apostolic circles. Bill Johnson, Patricia King, Lance Wallnau, Jill Austin, and an entire movement of believers are discovering the gospel of the kingdom, not just the gospel of salvation. As I said in the previous comment, I believe that salvation is the "gateway" through which we enter into the much broader realm that Jesus' redemptive work on the cross and via His resurrection gives us access to. An understanding of kingdom principles makes for a far large scope in reading the N.T.

Amazing. I remember that I used to think the same thing of reformed writers and teachers also. A lot of talk about "The Kingdom."

Trevin,

73 times in the NT alone "kingdom of God" is brought up. The Lord's Prayer? Hello?! Seems praying kingdom prayers is on the front burner of Jesus' agenda for our praying.

Seek first? .... etc, etc, etc.

I know buzz words are keys indicators of culture, but I appreciate what you are saying here. It needs to be said.
