I was meditating on that rich passage just today. It is the message of the cross Paul credits (2) as the power of God effecting our salvation; it is also, he says the wisdom of God ( which he says in the eyes of the hostile world-those that are perishing-is the foolishness of God).The inter-play with words by Paul here is just amazing.
