Thanks for doing the heavy lifting in reviewing this book. Others have tried and failed. I’m not talking about myself, of course…

Pop-level versions on this topic have been written, albeit not on the exact same biblical passages:

Breaking the Idols of Your Heart by Dan Allender & Tremper Longman (IVP). This one focuses mainly on passages in Ecclesiastes.

No Other Gods by Kelly Minter (David C. Cook)

Idols of the Heart by Elyse Fitzpatrick (P&R)

The latter two are written explicitly for women, but any man secure in his manhood should be able to glean some insights as well.

Dear Pastor Trevin <
I am so thankful to our God for that reality < we become what we worship We are to worship Him in spirit and truth . We are going to be transfromed by the renewing of our mind and sanctification through His Word We will be like Jesus the firstborn of all the brethren Our God is amazing ! He is the only true God and there is no other !
He is magnificent and awesome and we are created in His image the glory of His son Jesus Christ in us by God’s grace born of Him and all for His honor and praise and for our joy in Christ Jesus >
I am thankful and desire to worship no other and be His witness for His glory <
