God is Triune?
What verse of the Holy Scripture tell you this?
God is ONE.
There is One God, the Father (1 Cor 8:6)
Jesus calls Him "the Only True God" in John 17:3. If God were really "3", I would expect that incomprehisible notion be be mentioned once....perhaps even 3 times....but it isn't!
God is not Triune, He is The Father and He is One and Only One! Ask Jesus!

Hi Trevin

This is a very helpful post.

It also seems to me, by putting some data together from Acts and the Epistles, that conversion can also seen as trinitarian - we turn from sin to God in repentance, believe in Jesus (with expression of this in baptism), and Receive the Holy Spirit.

Again, the various tendencies that you have described emphasise different aspects of this, but again, they are supposed to be held together.

In his book "Knowing God" J.I. Packer presents a slightly different but helpful explanation of the work of each member of the Trinity in salvation:

"God is triune; there are within the Godhead three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; and the work of salvation is one in which all three act together, the Father purposing redemption, the Son securing it and the Spirit applying it."
