Thanks for this post Trevin. I was hoping for something a little less feel good in the finale but it turned out to be a good ending.

Reformed theology, what do you mean "Krishna and the Cross don't blend?" Are you talking about the symbols on the stained glass behind Jack as he was opening his father's coffin?

I was yelling at the TV for the last 10 minutes. Krishna and the Cross don't blend.

I agree. I think we can take away from LOST that the lost have questions but are completely without adequate answers. I think it is telling that Jacob, the deity like sage we expected would have all the answers, had so little to offer. He was as confused as anyone; he had only been confused longer.

In all these questions LOST raises, Jesus is the answer. The meaning of life, the greater cause worth believing in, the father who never fails, the family we are given to strive together with - the gospel is the key to all these things. How could the writers of LOST adequately answer their own questions without it?

Great post, Trevin! I agree with you on number 4 especially. I think the writers got a little carried away on all the details and complexity to be able to tie everything together with a bow at the end.

Nice tie in, Trevin! I especially like the fatherhood issue. It seems like that is one of the biggest problems our society faces as it's so foundational and at the root of other issues we deal with.
