Kindle Deal of the Day: Primal Credo by Derek Vreeland. FREE. (I interviewed Derek about this book here.)
Primal Credo is a fresh, modern reading of the Apostles’ Creed. Some followers of Christ have never heard of the creed and others recite the creed Sunday after Sunday without giving it much thought. This book will help you grow in faith if you are a new Christian or a seasoned saint. Enter into the creed and discover your DNA as a believer in Jesus Christ.
Bill Nye the Humanist Guy vs. Ken Ham the Creationist Man:
Nye has obviously struck a chord. Not only does the video have 4.5 million views, but at last count it also has 72,855 likes vs. only 15,245 dislikes (again, as of this morning). Why the Harvard Students Cheated - When Ambition Trumps Ethics:
Over and over again, students told us that they admired good work and wanted to be good workers. But they also told us they wanted — ardently — to be successful. They feared that their peers were cutting corners and that if they themselves behaved ethically, they would be bested. And so, they told us in effect, “Let us cut corners now and one day, when we have achieved fame and fortune, we’ll be good workers and set a good example.” A classic case of the ends justify the means.
Status of World Trade Center site today:
Eleven years after terrorists attacked the World Trade Center, the new multibillion-dollar World Trade Center once again dominates the lower Manhattan skyline. Hundreds of construction workers are at the 16-acre site every day, and tourists snap thousands of photos of the two towers that are nearing completion.
