Does Grace Lead To Apathy?

The gripping testimony below is one more living example that grace (not law) changes hearts and moves people to do more, not less.

The work you do is appreciated. Give em Grace in NYC, we can never get enough. Every generation and people group needs to hear the gospel over and over again. Not because God is not able to keep us, but because as the young lady mentioned we forget. And God help us when we forget what Jesus did for us.

  3. We just don’t believe it.

So we do need to hear it over and over and over. And we need to receive His Supper (which He commanded that we do), over and over and over.

  4. No, the law eventually leads to apathy dear friend, because we will realize, sooner or later, how we fall short of it.
Grace motivates obedience because only love can be what motivates someone to give God their all, not because they have to, but because they get to.

  5. Amen. Praise be to God that He is awakening so many! We are overcoming by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony! (Rev 12:11)

Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone works wonders. And blessed be His glorious name forever; and may the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen, and Amen! (Ps72:18-20)

We ought to give thanks always too for all of our committed faithful teachers – who day by day, are faithful to the Lord and His truth, even as the Lord ever more inspires. How He loves us! I think of my own pastor, faithfully teaching all the Word year after year, and then God enlightened my eyes, mind, heart! He is very Great!

    Let us pray!

and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Rom 5:5

  6. Grace can lead to anything.

That’s why we still need God’s law, also. To keep us from thinking that we are doing alright on our own.

My neighbor constantly insists (7th Day Adventist) we need more than Grace because we will take advantage of the goodness of God and sin. I say Faith alone she says yes but.
I believe is all a matter of the distinction of the Law and Grace as Tullian preaches.
Give us Grace and the Law but make sure we know the difference.
