Ryan Kelly (Drs., Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) has been the pastor for preaching at Desert Springs Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, since 2003. Ryan began his formal education at Liberty University and Seminary where he earned the B.S., M.A.R., and M.Div. degrees, and, more importantly, there met Sarah, whom he married in 1996. He began doctoral studies in theology at Oxford University in 1998 but withdrew in 1999 due to health problems and a financial shortage. Upon returning to the States, the Kellys moved to Denver, Colorado, where Ryan pastored for four years. He was a visiting scholar at Cambridge University from 2002 to 2003. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate in historical theology with Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His dissertation focuses on the theology of John Owen (1616-83) and is under contract for publication with Crossway. Ryan and Sarah are blessed with four children. In his spare time Ryan enjoys dirt-biking, wood-working, playing and coaching hockey, and, really, anything with his family.
