TGC International Outreach is engaged in Theological Famine Relief for the Global Church. We create Relief Projects by working with translators, publishers, and printers here in North America as well as overseas, and donate these resources through global missions networks. Through your generous gifts, these projects enable us to strengthen thousands of church leaders in Asia, Africa, and South America.

 

Resource

 
The ESV Global Study Bible is for “Global Christians” in every corner of the world—especially in places where there are few resources available for accessing and studying the Bible. It has been designed from beginning to end to be highly accessible for distribution on a global scale.
 
It features a fresh design, with a wide range of new features. Each book begins with an introduction, followed by a unique, insightful description of the global message of the book. Likewise, a set of new articles by global Christian leaders apply the Bible to global issues, such as the role of government, the nature of the church, world religions, social ethics, and missions and evangelism.
 
The notes and maps were adapted from the best-selling ESV Study Bible and contain a wealth of information about the biblical text, history, and geography. With overviews of each Bible book, special facts, and character profiles, the Global Study Bible is a remarkable resource for Christians everywhere who seek to know and understand the truth of the Bible and its global meaning.

While the majority of the world speaks and communicates in local languages, globalization has created one major stream of communication—Global English. It is the official language of 53 nations (one-fourth of the world), and it is estimated that another billion people speak it as their second language. Nearly 1,742,600,000 are able to access, read, and comprehend resources in the English language. That’s more than 1 out of 5 people in the world!

 

While we continue to pursue translation into key languages, many times it is more cost effective to make English resources available to pastors, seminaries, and those who train church leaders. Global English is vital for equipping Christian leaders with selected biblical works.
