JT, another great Packer post. I'm loving "In My Place Condemned He Stood" right now, particularly the intro to Death of Death. Question: where did Packer learn to write, stylistically? I'm considering getting your recommended "Clear and Simple as Truth" on classical style. Is Packer a classical writer?

Thanks!
BT

Because no great man is without his flaws or errors in judgement.
Not Packer, not Calvin, not Wesley, not your pastor.

So simply say "I wish he hadn't done that, but I'm glad he did this...

As a Baptist, I appreciate his commendation of Bunyan!

J.I. Packer signed the ECT with the pagan Roman Catholic Church in 1995. "Why hear ye him?"

Such a gracious, seasoned saint. Thanks so much for this.
I pray every church leader heeds the final words of Dr. Packer. There IS no other way to effective ministry.
