The Gospel Coalition

In case you haven't heard, you should know that I never write my blog posts at 5 or 6 in the morning, no matter what the time stamp says. I write 99% of my posts well before I post them, usually a day or several days in advance. I queue them up to go live in the morning when most people in this country are waking up. So if you've pictured me up at 4am, working by candlelight, blogging my little heart out before the world gets out of bed, then you've given me too much credit.

The other thing you should know is that once in a great while I don't have anything to say, so I just find filler. Case in point.

Yaaayyy for your shorter blogs! I love your blogs, but I am a seminary student who doesn't always have the time to read all of them. Between research papers, book reviews, and exegesis papers, it's hard to find time to read that much. But I love what you have to say. It's usually great stuff!! I especially love your shorter stuff -- I can read it and not feel guilty about getting off task. Now, to get back to the task on hand. :)

So, you're saying your responsible with your God given time, much like GTY ministries in setting up consistent time to daily encourage and help feed the ppl He has entrusted to you. After reading Piper's review of Huson Taylor's God gifted missionary success, I've come to realize that that gifting of being a prayer warrior is rare but surely something to strive for

I bet Justin Taylor gets up at 4am by candlelight. :)

Kevin Deyoung, you are a lazy, lazy blogger.

For shame!

That's good to know. You are human.

Have a joy-filled Lord's day my honest blogging brother and pastor. May our Lord help us all to grow even closer to abiding in Christ with a genuine spirituality. How I long to have my heart full of Christ, and my mind focused fully on our Redeemer and Friend.

I do the same thing, though I got caught one time because I'd prepared a week in review post ahead of time, then Whitney Houston died that very night, so I had somebody ask me "Why didn't you mention Whitney Houston's death?" That's when I had to confess...

One of the reasons I like your blog. You make me smile and think. BTW everyone can't be a Justin Taylor :)

I am both crushed and relieved at the same time. But your thoughts and words here continue to be helpful--and from now on I will choose to see their production as "timeless."

What? There are times you don't have anything to say? I'm shocked.

Nah! I know you and every other top-blogger write their 1000-word posts in the 45 minutes before they go to bed. ;)
