Re: #4, wouldn't it also make sense to add some of the other factors that may make marriage less of an attractive option for men and hence something they're less likely to pursue? Think of things such as current family law, no-fault divorce (with divorces far more frequently initiated by women in large part due to the odds they'll get sole custody), and laws surrounding domestic violence (which seem to assume only men perpetrate it, even though there's plenty of evidence that women perpetrate such violence at about the same rates).
