“The Lord said to Samuel, “Behold, I am about to do a thing for my people which will tingle both ears of everyone who hears it...” (1Sam.3:11). “I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Isa.43:19). “God is able to make his grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” (2Cor.9:8). “Because of Jesus, they caught so many fish their boats began to sink..” (Lk.5:7).
Friends, I offer a prayer of gratitude today, for the Lord met me/us in a most unexpected, hyper-generous, abounding-grace way yesterday. You don’t need to know all the details, but I do encourage you to keep waiting on/for the Lord in your hardest stories, most disheartening situations, and direst straights. When Abba might seem to be the most silent and disengaged, he’s actually in the kitchen prepping some of his best sovereignty. Take heart friends, don’t lose it. Love, Scotty
Prayer of Thanksgiving: Lord Jesus, I’m glad to be the healed leper returning to give thanks today. My leprosy wasn’t tumors on my skin, but unbelief in my heart. You don’t always work on our timetable, but you are always working in all things for our good and your glory—no exceptions. Both of my ears “tingled,” as I listened to the report of your provision. I drank fresh water in the wilderness of my weariness and bad attitude. Grace abounded yesterday, it didn’t just drip or dribble. If my heart is a boat and fish are your mercies—gladly, happily, I began to sink into an ocean of grace and hope. Thank you Jesus. Thank you, Lord. So Very Amen.
