Sometimes we hear the Bible’s story summarized as creation, fall, redemption, restoration. But the future of all who are joined to Christ will not merely be a restoration to the goodness of Eden. This story has always been headed toward consummation, toward glory. In the greater garden-city-temple to come, we’ll have a better bridegroom than Eve had, enjoy a more secure environment, be better dressed, and bear God’s image even more gloriously.
