This is a survey of what “biblical theology” means in current discussion, fastening on the most defensible uses of the expression. We will explore the scope and purpose of the discipline, along with a survey of its history, advantages, tools, and limitations. The workshop includes brief sketches of a couple of biblical-theological themes, and outline some of the ways in which the discipline enhances preaching and teaching, while strengthening a better grasp of how the Bible hangs together.
