Keith Getty and his wife, Kristyn, have been at the forefront of the modern hymn movement over the past decade, bridging the gap between the traditional and the contemporary. In 2018, Keith received the Officer of the Order of the British Empire by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, marking the first time the award has been given to an individual in the world of contemporary church music.
Kristyn Getty and her husband Keith, from Belfast, Northern Ireland, have been writing modern hymns for the church for more than a decade. As an artist, Kristyn has performed sold-out shows on world stages from Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Sydney Opera House, to Belfast Arena and is a regular guest at the Grand Ole Opry. She has recorded duets with artists from Alison Krauss to Ladysmith Black Mambazo. A mother of four daughters—Eliza, Charlotte, Grace and Tahlia—she is passionate about Christianity’s role in children and families.
