This breakout session titled How the Trinity Should Shape Our Churches with Fred Sanders was delivered at The Gospel Coalition’s 2018 West Coast Conference in Fullerton, California.

Gospel ministry never takes place without the Trinity; it always takes place within the Trinity. A clear and steady awareness that our God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit should lead us to engage in ministry in the image of the Trinity: not in some speculative way by finding triads and triangles here and there, but by recognizing everywhere the work of the Son of God and the Spirit of God on the mission of the Father.

Fred Sanders teaches in the Torrey Honors College at Biola University. He has written and contributed to a number of books, including The Deep Things of God: How the Trinity Changes Everything, 2nd ed. (Crossway, 2017), The Triune God (Zondervan, 2016), and The Image of the Immanent Trinity: Rahner’s Rule and the Theological Interpretation of Scripture (Peter Lang, 2004).
