Not many of us will spend 59 weeks teaching through the book of Exodus, but from August 2015 through June 2017, that’s what Kevin DeYoung did, making him the perfect person to talk about how to teach the book of Exodus. I interviewed DeYoung immediately after he was named the new pastor of Christ Covenant Church in Matthews, North Carolina, as well as an assistant professor of systematic theology at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte. This meant DeYoung’s final sermon on Exodus was also his final sermon as pastor of University Reformed Church in Lansing, Michigan.

In this two-part conversation, DeYoung offers insights into how to deal with challenges like the hardening of Pharaoh’s heart, as well as opportunities like the theophanies, the tabernacle, and the golden calf.

“The Most Practical and Engaging Book on Christian Living Apart from the Bible”

“If you’re going to read just one book on Christian living and how the gospel can be applied in your life, let this be your book.”—Elisa dos Santos, Amazon reviewer.

In this book, seasoned church planter Jeff Vanderstelt argues that you need to become “gospel fluent”—to think about your life through the truth of the gospel and rehearse it to yourself and others.

We’re delighted to offer the Gospel Fluency: Speaking the Truths of Jesus into the Everyday Stuff of Life ebook (Crossway) to you for FREE today. Click this link to get instant access to a resource that will help you apply the gospel more confidently to every area of your life.
