Sam Allberry
Sam Allberry speaks around the world as a pastor, preacher and author of several books. He is in the process of moving to the U.S. to join the staff at Immanuel Nashville, is a Canon Theologian for the Anglican Church in North America, and is a Senior Fellow at OCCA Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. Sam is also the co-host of the podcast You’re Not Crazy: Gospel Sanity for Young Pastors.

Ray Ortlund
Ray Ortlund is the President of Renewal Ministries, a Canon Theologian in The Anglican Church in North America, and a founding member of The Council of The Gospel Coalition. He founded Immanuel Church in Nashville, Tennessee, and upon retirement was named Pastor to Pastors. Ray has authored a number of books, including The Gospel: How the Church Portrays the Beauty of Christ and Marriage and the Mystery of the Gospel. His PhD is from The University of Aberdeen, Scotland. Ray and his wife Jani have four children.

The Gospels claim to give us access to eyewitness testimony about their hero. This session will explore what we can learn about Jesus if we pay attention to both the male and female witnesses the Gospels offer us within their narratives, from the beginning of Jesus’s life on Earth to the end—and beyond!

Rebecca McLaughlin holds a PhD in Renaissance Literature from Cambridge University and a theology degree from Oak Hill College in London. She is the author of Confronting Christianity: 12 Hard Questions for the World’s Largest Religion, 10 Questions Every Teen Should Ask (and Answer) about Christianity, The Secular Creed: Engaging 5 Contemporary Claims, and Is Christmas Unbelievable? 1776: The Origin Story of the Post-Christian West
1776 remade the world. In one extraordinary year, a combination of books, ships, machines, inventions, paintings and declarations created a new cultural landscape which we could characterize as WEIRDER: Western, educated, industrialized, rich, democratic, ex-Christian, and romantic. In this session we will see how these different transformations came together to shape our world—and how the church of 1776 responded, and what we can learn from them.
