This fall The Gospel Coalition has welcomed two new members of our editorial staff. We’re grateful for their gifting and service to the church as TGC promotes gospel-centered ministry for the next generation.
Sarah Eekhoff Zylstra joins The Gospel Coalition as senior writer. She has been a freelance reporter and contributing editor at Christianity Today. She earned her master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Her work has already been featured at TGC in reporting on Alex and Brett Harris doing hard things, Chicago Cubs star Ben Zobrist’s love for the local church, and church ministries to people with disabilities, among other articles. As TGC senior writer, Zylstra will be telling stories you won’t read anywhere else about God’s wonderful work amid the thorns and thistles of this world. Experience as a news writer brings depth and complexity to Zylstra’s writing that we pray will equip church leaders to face today’s challenges with wisdom and faith. You can follow her on Twitter.
Melissa Kruger takes on an expanded role at The Gospel Coalition as an editor working to develop writers and speakers for our website, book imprint with Crossway, and national conferences. In this role we’re especially grateful for her experience as women’s ministry coordinator at Uptown Church (PCA) in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kruger is the author of The Envy of Eve: Finding Contentment in a Covetous World (Christian Focus, 2012) andWalking with God in the Season of Motherhood (Waterbrook/Multnomah, 2015). Her husband, Mike, is the president of Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, and they have three children. She’s already known to TGC readers as the blogger at Wits End. You can follow her on Twitter.
